ABOUT THE ROLE
ALPA Construction is seeking a Project Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of construction experience preferred, healthcare construction experience a plus. The Project Engineer provides technical and administrative support to facilitate the successful execution of the construction including obtaining, evaluating, coordinating, and distributing the information to architects, consultants, and trade partners.
The project engineer will work closely with all members of the project team and will be responsible for the following:
Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules. Coordinate and monitor assigned tasks.
Prepare and maintain document control items such as daily reports, material procurement logs, submittal logs, as-builts, testing and inspection logs, RFI logs, and change order logs.
Prepare and distribute weekly reports to clients and team.
Prepare agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and support documentation for various meetings including owner/architect/contractor meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and staff meetings.
Distribute new drawings, changes, approved submittals, RFI responses, and other project information to all affected parties.
Point of communication with architects and engineers to resolve field coordination items through well considered RFIs.
Verify materials delivered to site are in accordance with plans, specifications, and approved submittals.
Assist Project Superintendent and Project Manager with daily tasks.
Coordinate documentation required for permits and inspections.
Compile and submit closeout and warranty documents.s opportunities and communicate to ALPA Executive Leadership.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 is required.
Experience with Bluebeam and Procore Construction software preferred.
Must be self-sufficient, detail oriented, and highly organized.
Must have the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team based environment.
Understanding of Contract Document & Specifications.
Good judgment, initiative, and ability to deal with last-minute changes or critical issues.
Strong focus on client service.
Ability to work in a faced-paced environment on multiple projects.
